Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School

Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School, "Gordon Graydon", "GGMSS", or simply "Graydon" for short, is a Canadian high school serving Grades 9 to 12, located at 1490 Ogden Avenue in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Gordon Graydon is best known for housing the three Regional Programs and currently stands as one of the top ranking public schools in the Peel board and is home to many national and international awards in DECA and Robotics. The school opened in 1957, and celebrated its 50th anniversary on May 26, 2007. It was named after Gordon Graydon, a Canadian politician who died in 1953. The school's slogan is "Palma Per Ardua": "Success through Hard Work".
Gordon Graydon is home to the International Business and Technology Program, the Graphic Design Management Program, and the Specialist High Skills Major Program. Both the IBT and GDM program place an emphasis on business, technology, and graphic design skills to supplement students' academic studies. The IBT program emphasizes entrepreneurial and leadership skills, along with intellectual creativity. The school is home of the only Graphic Design Management Program in Ontario. The school places an emphasis on academic and technological skills, with high involvement in extra curricular activities such as DECA, Robotics, Model UN, and Theatre Graydon.
==International, Business & Technology Program (IBT)==
The International, Business and Technology (IBT) program is a regional program in the Peel District School Board that extends the secondary school curriculum by giving students opportunities to focus on business, marketing, technology and engineering. The courses are academically rigorous and help prepare students for the 21st century learning in an increasingly complex world. The IBT Program is also offered at North Park Secondary School and Meadowvale Secondary School.
Some of the features of Gordon Graydon's IBT Program are:
Grade 9 and 10 Laptop Program
The Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School's laptop program is only available for IBT students. The program allows students to use their laptop in their Geography, English, Science, and Business classes. The subject material and courses themselves are more advanced and the students will learn additional information using a computer. The laptop program is most beneficial to the IBT business course.
Grade 11/12 Computer Engineering
Students in the IBT and GDM program are offered a wide variety of academic programs including state-of-the-art science laboratories and computer engineering courses in grades 11 and 12. Students learn a variety of programming and also have access to a 3-D printer.
